Take me to the river

The Ganges

I took this a few years back. Donna liked the picture of a sunrise from the river Ganges or "Mother Ganga" at Varanasi.

In fact she liked it so much, she said, "Take me to the River"

Perhaps it was a catalyst, a spark in the dark, something to get the juices flowing.
We should be there in a few months but we've got a lot of trains to catch first.

I love this video but don't take the words too literally as there were only twelve candles : )
So enjoy and chill and unlike the song, we won't actually be bathing in it!

There's  been a great documentary on BBC1 9pm Thursdays, presented by Sue Perkins and she's brilliant. Maybe catch it on iPlayer.
I suspect she will end up doing a whole raft of dox around the great rivers of the world!
